Spellweaver (Arcanist)
What this profession is
Section titled “What this profession is”The spellweaver (Arcanist) is a support and utility caster built on Spellweaving, a Mondain’s-Legacy-era school. On this shard Spellweaving is real (the EJ expansion stack includes ML skills). It’s rarely a character’s only school — it layers onto a mage, mystic, or tamer to add heals, buffs, summons, and area damage.
Core skills
Section titled “Core skills”- Spellweaving — the casting skill; sets spell power and the strength of the Arcane Focus you can hold.
- A primary school to build around — Magery + Evaluating Intelligence, Mysticism + Focus, or pet skills for a tamer.
- Meditation and Resisting Spells to fuel and survive.
The Arcane Circle mechanic
Section titled “The Arcane Circle mechanic”Spellweaving’s signature is the Arcane Circle. Standing in one (cast where other weavers
gather) grants an Arcane Focus that empowers your weaving spells — and the more
spellweavers nearby, the stronger the focus, so it’s a group-friendly school. Arcane
Empowerment further boosts the strength/duration of your next weave. Both are confirmed:
servuo: Scripts/Spells/Spellweaving/ArcaneCircle.cs and ArcaneEmpowerment.cs. Solo, you
still get a focus from items (an arcane robe/gem), just a weaker one.
The build
Section titled “The build”There is no dedicated spellweaver template page yet. Treat Spellweaving as one slot added to a caster: start from the Mage Template (or a tamer/mystic spread), keep the high-Int caster stats, and fit Spellweaving in. See 7x GM Templates for the 700-point math.
How to play it
Section titled “How to play it”Magic Schools places Spellweaving among the schools; Spellcasting covers casting and Meditation & Mana covers mana.
The toolkit (all confirmed under servuo: Scripts/Spells/Spellweaving/):
- Gift of Renewal — a heal-over-time buff; Gift of Life is a delayed self/ally resurrection insurance.
- Arcane Empowerment — boost your next weave; Attune Weapon absorbs incoming damage.
- Summon Fey / Summon Fiend — conjured combat allies; Nature’s Fury summons an aggressive swarm.
- Wildfire / Thunderstorm — persistent area damage for clearing packs.
- Word of Death — heavy damage to a weakened target.
- Reaper Form — a self-transform trading speed for spell power.
- Magic item properties — the arcane robe/focus items that grant a solo focus; plus Spell Damage, Lower Mana Cost, and Faster Casting for the spells.
- Armor — mage-friendly with balanced resists.
- Spellweaving uses an Arcane Focus charge rather than the eight mage reagents for many spells; carry focus items.
Making a living
Section titled “Making a living”A spellweaver rarely farms alone on Spellweaving — it amplifies whatever your main school or pet already does: heal and buff yourself, drop Wildfire on a pack, and finish with Word of Death. In groups the Arcane Circle makes everyone’s weaves stronger. Sell loot via Vendors & Banking.
