Yew

このコンテンツはまだ日本語訳がありません。

Yew is less a town than a forest with buildings in it. Spread across the great north-western woods, it is a hushed, green settlement of lumberjacks and carpenters, anchored by Empath Abbey and the Courts of Truth — Britannia’s seat of Justice, the Virtue Yew embodies. There is no town square here, no tidy grid of shops; the abbey monks tend their vineyard, the Courts hear their cases, and the woodsmen work the endless trees. It is the quietest of the great towns, and to many the most beautiful.

Yew lies in the north-west of the Felucca/Trammel mainland. The Yew Moongate (771, 752) sits in the forest north-east of town — take any public gate and choose Yew, then walk south-west into the woods. Roads thread south toward Britain. Mages can Recall to a rune. See Moongates & shrines.

From the NPC vendors recorded around Yew and the abbey (what the icons mean):

Bank Bank · Carpenter Carpenter · Bowyer Bowyer · Baker Baker · Healer Healer · Inn Inn

Yew does have a bank, by Empath Abbey (639, 858): a banker and minter spawn at (652, 820) per the server spawn data (Spawns/felucca.xml, spawner Vendors#293). Note: anima’s world_knowledge.yaml omits the bank from Yew’s feature list — that list is incomplete, not authoritative. No blacksmith is listed for Yew, and there is no mage or tailor shop; this is a wood town, so its vendors lean toward the carpenter and bowyer trades. A fur trader, tanner, butcher, mapmaker, and shipwright round out the roster. Other nearby landmarks include the infamous Hedge Maze to the south, and the dungeons Shame, the Wisp Dungeon, and the Ankh Dungeon in the forests south of town.

  • Vast forests all around — the Yew woods (roughly 100–750 × 650–1260) are the single largest lumberjacking area in Britannia. Trees everywhere, in every direction.

Lumberjacks, carpenters, and bowyers. Nowhere matches Yew’s tree density, and the carpenter and bowyer shops buy what you make from the wood. Bank your gains at the Empath Abbey bank (652, 820) — no need to haul lumber profits to Britain or Minoc. The forests are also good low-key hunting for new fighters.
