Britain

If Britannia has a heart, it beats in Britain. Lord British raised his castle here, and the realm grew up around it: this is the capital, the largest and most crowded city in the land, and the place every road and moongate seems to lead back to. Where other towns pick a trade and master it, Britain does a little of everything — craft halls and supply shops crowd together along its streets, the bank steps double as the kingdom’s marketplace, and adventurers of every stripe pass through. For most newcomers it is simply home: the place you learn the game, stock up, and return to between travels.

Getting there
Section titled “Getting there”Britain sits at the center of the Felucca/Trammel mainland. The Britain Moongate (1336, 1997) lies just south of the city walls — step through any public moongate and choose Britain to arrive here free and instantly. Mages can Recall or Gate straight to a marked rune; on foot, every major road on the mainland eventually feeds into the capital. See Moongates & shrines for the full network.
Services
Section titled “Services”Britain has the fullest set of services of any city — if a shop exists in Britannia, it almost certainly exists here. From the NPC vendors recorded around the city (what the icons mean):
Bank ·
Blacksmith ·
Tinker ·
Carpenter ·
Bowyer ·
Tailor ·
Jeweler ·
Mage shop ·
Reagents ·
Scribe ·
Healer ·
Provisioner ·
Baker ·
Stables ·

The map data also plots a bard and a full slate of dock trades (mapmaker, shipwright, fisherman) on the southern waterfront. Landmarks include Lord British’s Castle (1323, 1624), Blackthorn’s Castle to the north, and the city graveyard (1380, 1490) — a traditional first hunting ground.
Nearby resources
Section titled “Nearby resources”- Trees to the north — the forest north of Britain (roughly the 1300–1600 × 1300–1500 area) is a solid lumberjacking ground.
- Mountains to the north-east toward Minoc offer mining spots.
- The southern coast below the city is a known fishing stretch.
Who should come here
Section titled “Who should come here”Everyone, eventually — but especially new characters. Every craft trainer and supply vendor is within walking distance, the bank is the realm’s de facto marketplace, and the surrounding countryside (graveyard, north forest) offers low-risk hunting and gathering. When in doubt, start in Britain.
