Fisher

このコンテンツはまだ日本語訳がありません。

The fisher harvests the sea. With nothing but a fishing pole and a stretch of water you pull up fish to cook and sell, the odd pair of boots, message-in-a-bottle SOS notes that lead to sunken treasure, and rare big fish worth mounting as trophies. It is the most relaxed gathering profession — low setup, low danger near shore — but it quietly feeds two others: cooking turns the catch into food, and cartography turns SOS bottles into underwater treasure hunts.

  • Fishing — the headline skill: cast a pole on water to catch fish, items, and SOS bottles.
  • Cooking — turn raw fish into cooked food worth selling and eating.
  • Cartography — decode the SOS and treasure maps fishing turns up, tying the catch into treasure hunting.

There is no dedicated fisher template yet — Fishing slots onto a gatherer or treasure-hunter character. Pair it with Cooking and Cartography (and the treasure-hunting kit of Lockpicking and a combat skill for guardians) and see 7x GM Templates for fitting it all under the 700-point cap.

Read Gathering Resources for the fishing loop. Cooking the catch is covered on the Cooking crafting page.

The loop: stand on or beside water, double-click a fishing pole, and target the water. Each cast pulls up something — most often fish, sometimes boots or other junk, occasionally a message in a bottle (SOS), a big fish, or even treasure. Deeper ocean (from a boat) yields better catches than shallow shore water. Cook the fish you catch into steaks for food; decode SOS bottles with Cartography to find a spot, then sail there and fish or dive up the sunken chest.

  • Tools — a fishing pole is the fisher’s one essential tool; a fletcher or NPC can supply one.
  • Fish, big fish, and junk — the everyday catch; raw fish become food via Cooking.
  • Message in a bottle (SOS) — leads to a sunken treasure spot; the gateway to treasure hunting at sea.
  • Resources — special catches and reagents the sea occasionally yields.

Fishers earn by selling cooked fish as cheap, reliable food, mounting big fish as trophies, and — the big payoff — cashing in SOS loot: the underwater chests an SOS leads to hold gold, gems, and magic gear like a land treasure chest. Rare catches and message bottles themselves also sell to other players. Move stock through Vendors & Banking.
